Alan Tudyk was born on March 16, 1971 in El Paso, Texas and grew up in Plano, Texas.
After high school Alan attended Lon Morris Jr College from 1990-1991 where he studied drama. In 1993 he continued his studies at The Juilliard School until 1996, when he left before earning a degree.
He first made his mark with work on stage in both regional and off-Broadway stage roles in New York before marking his Broadway debut with 1999's "Epic Proportions".
Alan broke into films in 1997 with his supporting role in "35 Miles From Normal". A versatile actor, Alan is the founder of the Court Jesters improv theater group and appears in theatre productions, television shows and films as his schedule allows He has had memorable supporting roles in the "Wonder Boys" and as well as "28 Days" and "A Knight's Tale".
Alan also had roles in "Dodgeball" and "I, Robot" and the TNT miniseries "Into the West", and appeared in the Broadway production of "Monty Python's Spamalot" between June and November 2005 while Hank Azaria fulfilled other commitments.
Alan will providing be his voice talents to "Ice Age 2 : The Meltdown", playing a fructose-intolerant bear and a witty German secretary
